Hello & Welcome to the wonderful world of Hypnobirthing

Updated: May 28, 2023

Hello my name is Jane and I would like to welcome you to the wonderful world of Hypnobirthing.

Yesterday I had the best time with Jessica Sharp Photography for my branding photoshoot. I cannot wait to share the photos with you all!

My classes will be starting this summer at the most perfect venue Balance & Breathe in Fleet.

The use of hypnobirthing allows you to be knowledgeable of your rights and choices, to allow you to feel in control, and to be as calm and relaxed as possible.

What is hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing techniques can be used to help with all types of birth, whether they be medicated, unmedicated, natural, assisted, or caesarean.

Hypnobirthing is a birthing method that uses self-hypnosis and deep relaxation techniques to help you to feel physically, mentally and spiritually prepared for birth. This in turn reduces the fear, anxiety and pain associated with childbirth.

During your hypnobirthing classes you will learn:

*About he physiology of birth *Shown how visualisations work *How to use breathing techniques *Shown the power of positive thinking and language to relax your body and your mind *Learn about the importance of creating a birthing environment that supports a positive birth *Your birth partners will also be empowered to understand their role, so that they can be confident and present to support you fully

The benefits of hypnobirthing are fantastic. Using data from a mindfulness based childbirth and from obstetric interventions researchers found that parents who had a fear of childbirth and took a hypnobirthing class were:

*36% less likely to have an epidural

*51% less likely to ask for a caesarean birth

*Twice as likely to have an unmedicated birth than those who do not take the course

*Had babies with higher APGAR scores 1 minute after birth

Overall mindfulness based childbirth was significantly superior to "enhanced care as usual" childbirth in decreasing the fear of childbirth, catastrophising of labour pain, preference of non urgent obstetric interventions and increasing the acceptance of labour pain.

Hypnobirthing allows you to be prepared, empowered, relaxed and calm for the birth of your baby.
